Moonshine production was banned in the State of Tennessee for over a century until the change of law in 2009. Soon after, Ole Smoky was co-founded by Joe Baker and it became the first federally-licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee. Since then, the brand has launched a range of flavored Moonshine; their whiskey collection includes Mango Habanero, Cinnamon, Root Beer, Peach, Peanut Butter, Vanilla Bean, Cookies & Cream, and several other expressions. Then there’s jars of fruit and veggies soaked in their moonshine. Moonshine Pickles, Moonshine Peaches, and Moonshine Cherries as well as canned ready-to-drink cocktails.
Ole Smoky is named after the Smoky Mountains as they were among the first to step foot there. Crafted with time-honored traditions of whiskey making, Ole Smoky moonshine is a one of a kind, mountain-made spirit.
Like in their Moonshine Cherries, their Moonshine Chocolate Cherries also feature maraschino “cherry bombs” that have spent a long time in the Ole Smoky moonshine bath, only this time, a note of milk chocolate was added. The result is a chocolate covered cherry-flavored moonshine that is a deliciously spicy, fruity, and sweet garnish with the extra chocolate depth. Bottled at 100 proof, this sweet concoction can also be enjoyed on its own, as a cocktail base or as a delicious snack.
